The Isheja is a hand-dyed decorative plate crafted by refugee artisans. This limited-edition design, named 'Isheja' meaning 'Dignity' in Kinyarwanda, was created by Charlotte M. and the Hope Cooperative. Each piece is made from strands of sisal and raffia wrapped around sweetgrass using the coil weaving technique, an ancient method of textile creation. The natural fibers are hand-dyed in a variety of colors, including green, pink, yellow, orange, and natural tones. The plate includes a loop on the back for hanging. It can be displayed on a wall, used as a fruit bowl, or styled as an accent piece in a home or office. Due to its handmade nature, variations in size and color may occur. FEATURE BULLETS: • Measures 12" W x 3" H. • Constructed from hand-dyed sisal and raffia wrapped around sweetgrass. • Features a loop on the back for wall hanging. • Each piece is a unique, handmade item with potential for slight variations.
