Umarex Ruger Explorer Youth Airgun Rifle

Good shooters are not born. They are built early, one careful shot at a time.

Most first rifles are too long, too heavy, or too easy to misuse. This one was sized and built for a young shooter.

Sized To Fit: A 12-inch length of pull and 4.45 pounds let a young shooter hold the rifle the right way. Good form starts when the gun fits.

Safety Built In: The automatic safety and the Anti-Slam Trigger-Barrel Safety System cover the moments when new shooters make mistakes. The lesson stays a lesson.

Sights They Can See: A fixed fiber optic front sight and an adjustable fiber optic rear sight stand out against the target. Watch them line up the dots, breathe, and ring the can at the back fence.

Either Shoulder: The ambidextrous thumbhole stock and vented cheekpiece work for left and right hands alike. All-weather composite means a wet afternoon does not end practice.

One Shot At A Time: The spring piston break-barrel action loads a single .177 pellet and sends it at 495 fps. Each shot takes effort, so each shot gets respect.

Teach them right the first time, because habits last.
