Martin Sports Chinese Jump Rope, 16 Foot Elastic Loop

Some of the best footwork drills were invented on a playground.

Some kids sit out recess, while others step into the loop and start the pattern.

A 16 Foot Loop: The long single loop of elastic stretches around the holders with room to jump. Bigger groups rotate through the middle.

Elastic That Gives: Stretch it around ankles, knees or hips and the elastic gives with the jumper. The game keeps flowing when a foot catches the line.

Nothing to Set Up: One loop is the whole kit. A teacher hands it out and a game is running in a minute.

Rhythm and Coordination: Jump in, jump out, land on the line. Each pattern sharpens timing and balance.

A Game Kids Pass Down: Older students show the younger ones the patterns. The game spreads across the playground with no instructions needed.

Hand them the loop and step back.
