A red dot alone gives up distance, and a magnified optic alone gives up speed. The shot will not tell you in advance which one you need.
Some rifles are set up for one distance, and some are ready for whatever distance shows up.
Near to Far in One Motion: The HM3X rides on a quick-release flip-to-side mount. You run the dot alone up close, then flip the magnifier in, settle at 3x, and press.
A Precise Aiming Point: The ARO-RD2 puts a 2 MOA red dot in a 22 mm window with 0.5 MOA adjustment per click. Small corrections stay small.
On When You Pick It Up: Shake Awake wakes the sight with the rifle. The side-loading CR2032 battery is rated for 50,000 hours at setting 6.
Sealed Against the Day: The enclosed ARO-RD2 is IP67 waterproof with 1000G vibration resistance in an aluminum housing. Rain, mud, and a rough truck ride do not change the plan.
Set Up Your Way: The kit includes both 1.63 inch lower 1/3 and 1.05 inch low mounts, plus a hard case. The magnifier gives you 70 mm of eye relief and an adjustable diopter for a sharp picture.
Be ready for the near shot and the far one.
