Chernobyl Ant – The Foam Attractor That Does It All

When the fish are looking up and you need a fly that floats all day, triggers explosive strikes, and imitates everything from a hopper to a beetle, the Chernobyl Ant is your answer. This legendary foam attractor has earned its place in every serious dry fly box — and for good reason.

Why It Works

  • High-floating foam body stays on top through the roughest pocket water and fastest runs
  • Rubber legs pulse and twitch with every ripple, triggering reaction strikes from even the most selective trout
  • Versatile silhouette imitates hoppers, beetles, ants, and other terrestrials — one fly, many meals
  • Highly visible color combinations make it easy to track in broken water

When & Where to Fish It

Fish the Chernobyl Ant during summer terrestrial season when hoppers and beetles are active. Dead-drift it along grassy banks, through pocket water, or skate it across slow pools to trigger aggressive surface takes. It's equally at home on freestone streams, tailwaters, and high-country lakes.
