An umpire cannot call the game if the mask is in the way.
Less weight on the face means more focus on the plate.
Lighter Load: The mask weighs 18 oz and uses a durable hollow wire frame, so it stays comfortable through a doubleheader.
Real Protection: Extended forehead, ear and throat guards cover the areas that take the hit.
Cleaner Pads: DryTek EverClean full grain leather pads are moisture-wicking and help inhibit bacteria and mildew.
Secure Fit: An adjustable harness holds the mask in place when the pitch comes in and the umpire has to move.
Behind The Plate: Picture an umpire setting up in a crouch late in the sixth inning. The mask is still comfortable and still in place.
Make every call with a clear head.
