Primos Lil Heartbreaker Box Call

Some gobblers hang up just out of range and never commit. The right pitch is what closes that distance.

Most box calls sound alike, and pressured birds have heard them all.

A Higher Pitch: This one-sided box produces high-pitched tones and frequencies. Those notes stand apart from the deeper calls a wary bird has learned to ignore.

Hand-Tuned Before You Get It: Every call is hand-tuned. You pull it from your vest and the first stroke sounds right.

One Piece, Nothing to Loosen: The box is cut from one piece of mahogany. One piece means no joints to work loose after seasons in a vest.

At First Light: You sit against an oak, run the purple heart lid across the rail, and wait. The answer comes from the ridge. Then it comes closer.

A Call You Keep: Made in the USA with a laser-engraved purple heart wood lid. It looks like a call you hand down, not one you replace.

Carry the call that makes him take the last forty steps.
