A turkey that will not commit needs a call that can change tone without changing tools.
High notes on the front, rasp on the back. One box, two voices, hand-tuned in walnut.
Front Highs: High calls on the front of the lid. You start a hen talk that carries across the ridge.
Back Rasp: A rasp on the back end gives the cut a harder edge when a gobbler hangs up.
Walnut Body: American walnut body. The wood is the soundboard you work against.
Purpleheart Lid: Purpleheart lid and paddle. You run the lid and the tone stays in the wood, not in a plastic shell.
Hand Tuned: Hand-tuned, with a deep cavity and a narrow bottom. You sit against a tree and work the box until the bird steps.
Run the lid. Make him close the distance.
