Unlike many broadheads that rely on multiple components, welds, or brazing, VPA 3-Blade Broadheads are machined from a solid piece of steel. This monolithic construction eliminates weak points and allows the ferrule to support the head all the way to the bone-splitting tip.

Most models are machined from 1045 Carbon Tool Steel, hardened to 50–52 Rockwell for strength and durability. The 3S250W (250 Grain 1 1/4") model is machined from premium S7 tool steel, providing exceptional toughness for hunters seeking maximum durability.

The straight angular blade geometry follows recommendations from the Ashby Foundation, providing advantages in penetration and structural integrity compared to curved blade designs.
